RICHARD kENNINGTON

Richard is a civil engineer with over forty years of design, construction management experience on projects ranging from fifty-story office buildings, high-rise apartment buildings, a 1.2 million square foot telecommunications hotel, and extensive interior tenant spaces. Richard graduated from the University of Arkansas followed with experience working as a Project Executive for a general contractor and as the Director of Construction for a real estate developer.

Over the course of his career, Richard has worked on over 6 million square feet of office buildings including 2 million square feet of tenant construction, 1.5 million square feet of telecommunication/data center space, and over 2 million square feet in high-rise apartments.

jOHN KENNINGTON

John has experience managing a range of commercial projects including multiple AM 100 Law firms, nationally recognized Non-profits such as National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, many of DC’s well-known associations, and technology start-ups.

John graduated from Virginia Tech in 2002 and enjoyed 6 years as a portfolio manager at one of the US’s largest financial institutions before discovering family business and DC’s real estate community.  Strong communication and relationship building skills are what allows John to drive his project team towards a successful project completion.

Ru Salim

Ru Salim is an urban planning professional with a Masters in City and Regional Planning from Cornell University. Ru has experience providing oversight for various urban planning initiatives, including commercial development, zoning procedures, and permits. Collaborating closely with city officials, Ru played a key role in managing commercial developments, designing innovative concepts, and ensuring adherence to land use regulations.

One of Ru's standout abilities is their proficiency in processing project plans, making well-informed determinations in accordance with city, state, and federal requirements. Additionally, Ru effectively managed project managers and planning staff, facilitating the successful launch of development projects. She has extensive experience in conducting requests for proposals, conducting site inspections, and ensuring strict compliance with approved plans.
